Our Staff
Julia Fleming has a counseling degree and specializes in counseling children. She has a background in youth ministry. She worked for Dahlonega Crisis Pregnancy Care Center and on staff with Youth Ministry Resources for 3 years. She currently heads the children's program at North Ga. Bible Chapel. Julia and her husband, Hal, have two children.
Rachel Crawshaw, MCC has a BA in Biblical Education, a Masters Degree in Christian counseling, and has been teaching the Bible for over 20 years. She applies her experience and background as she counsels parents of teens who are receiving counseling at The Way. Rachel states, "While our problems stem from a failure to reflect the image of God, I believe that there are Biblical solutions for everything that we struggle with and there are mindsets we can aquire to help us live the blessed life that God intended for each of us". Rachel also leads six small group/Bible studies throughout the year for all age women who are seeking to grow into the Captivating women that God wants them to be. Rachel and her husband, Dale, (pastor at North Georgia Church) have four adult married children and three grandchildren.
Luke Syfert has a Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling and specializes in working with young men. "The Lord made me passionate about helping young men work through life issues. As a teenager myself, I journeyed through a couple of rough seasons and now that my savior Jesus Christ has walked with me through those troubled years, I desire to introduce young men to Jesus and give them guidance to trust Jesus in their journey as well." Luke also runs small groups for men healing from addictive behaviors. Luke is a part-time youth pastor. Luke and his wife, Lauren, have a passion for sharing the love of Jesus.
Rebecca Gunyon, MCC has her Masters Degree in Christian psychology. She specializes in counseling with teenage and adolescent girls. She has been working with teens for the last eleven years. Her background is in youth ministry, including three years of Young Life staff. "My heartbeat is to convey the compassion and tenderness of Christ in the counseling setting, in hope of total healing and restoration." Rebecca also facilitates the Five Silent Pleas of Your Child workshop. Becca and her husband, Dan, have three children and she is expecting her forth.
